Iām Alexandra Indira Sanyal, a bi-racial, Bengali-American, storyteller based in Boston, Massachusetts.
My work explores the ways in which we tell stories (and interpret stories) using each of our senses ā from cooking to collaging to capturing by camera. I am driven by the question: how does multi-sensory storytelling reveal the complexities of identity; ours and others?
I founded Shrishti Studios, a creative consultancy, to support individuals and organizations that want to tell their own story in thoughtful, provoking and engaging ways.
By day, I work as an Associate Strategist at ThinkArgus, a creative agency that does work that matters. I am also multimedia storyteller for The Katra Box, the first-ever subscription box made especially for desi women.
I am a graduate of the Masters in Design Studies program in Critical Conservation, at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, and the Growth & Structure of Cities program at Bryn Mawr College.
